Turkcell
Currently Turkcell (TKC) is Turkey’s largest mobile operator with approximately 32 million customers, and holds nearly 60 percent from the whole market share. The first GSM network in Turkey and strongest up to now, it was established in February 1994.
Presently it covers an area that includes 100% of the population living in cities of 3,000 or more, 97.2% of the total Turkish population, and 80.4% of Turkey's whole land area, according to estimation of March 31, 2007. Its major competitors are Telsim (purchased by Vodafone in 2005) and Avea.
