Bayezid II Mosque is located on a vigorous region of Istanbul, just across the Beyazit Square in front of Istanbul University.
All aside the mosque walls there is a interesting bazaar with old things, also lots of food and clothing. It is a must while visiting Istanbul.
Bayezid II Mosque was ordered by Sultan Bayezid II and finally finished in 1506 the by the architect Yakub Sah bin Sultan Sah. This is one of the oldest famous mosques in Istanbul from the Ottoman Empire.
You could also visit the tombs of Sultan Bayezid II, his daughter Selçuk Hatun, and Grand Vizier Koca Mustafa Reşid Pasha located behind the mosque is a small garden.
