Money & Prices
Turkey is a very popular tourist destination not only because of its incredible beaches and seaside resorts but also due to the low prices of both products and services. Turkey is quite an inexpensive country for travelers and the costs and prices have been kept low. Only in Istanbul and at Turkish beach resorts in July and August the costs are slightly higher than usual because of the tourist season and the cosmopolitan character of Istanbul. Lowest are the prices in the small towns of eastern Turkey as well as off-season, meaning November through March. Otherwise, 1 euro is a reasonable price for the typical Turkish fastfood called doner.
